Detailed Description of Excursion:
Drive along the North coast before turning inland to the Mountains – Nine Miles, a quaint village in the beautiful mountains of St. Ann It was here, on the 6th of February the legendary ‘King of Reggae’ was born and it is the very same place where he was laid to rest. A tour of Nine Miles is a family affair as many of Bob’s close relatives live there. The tour takes you through the house Bob lived as a young boy and your guide will share insights into Bob Marley’s childhood and musical career. Then, it is off for lunch at Ruins by the Falls. (optional).

Lunch is a sumptuous buffet featuring a wide variety and selection for you to feast on. Start with our home made soups, freshly baked breads and delectable salads that are a feast of their own.
Combine that with a vast selection of fresh fish, sumptuous meats and chicken that will tempt your palate and test your appetite to it's limit. And, if that isn't enough, you will want to experience the authentic Jamaican jerk meats on the carvery. And at The Ruins restaurants, we save the best for last ……..desserts island style prepared only the way a master Jamaican chef knows how. The menu features healthy lifestyle cuisine, blending the finest ingredients with spices and herbs, beautifully presented, surpassed only by the atmosphere.
After lunch, stops for shopping can be made before returning to the Ship. Shopping will take place at the Tajmahal Complex and Sony’s Plaza in Ocho Rios for duty free items, jewellery, souvenirs or clothing, then the craft market for Jamaican hand-made crafts.
